Meet the art in Óscar Martín’s studio

In 1994, Óscar Martín de Burgos decided to dedicate his life to artistic creation. That decision led him to be a sculptor, mystic and plastic activist. In each of his works and each moment of his life, a connection with the spirit is present. Inspiration, as an incentive, it is what gives meaning to this delivery in which he finds the balance. From creativity, the artist connects with his essence, which at the same time is the essence of our human community.

On many occasions, we enjoy the art of artists who have passed away, we observe their pieces of work in museum and exhibitions, we visit their workspaces, trying to put ourselves in their shoes and imagine what they thought or felt when doing their work; what was his symbolism, how their works were born, how they were built, why did they come up with that solution and not another… We necessarily have to interpret or deduce them. That is why Óscar Martín de Burgos has decided to open his creative space, his studio, his heart to all travellers. People are invited to take a journey through the creative process, forms, symbols… accompanied by the artist himself in a completely transformative activity.

During the visit, the sculptor explains the materials and techniques to show the construction process, to finally understand it and enjoy it. Through his works, he offers to experience from the imagination, emotions, feelings; live the energy to immerse in a different world, close and own at once. The activity is looking to spread the enthusiasm and illusion that Oscar Martín feels for the sculpture to all those who decide to visit him.

The experience ends with a group relaxation guided by the artist. He uses his voice, a drum, and a flute. This is a format that allows all kinds of people to feel good, especially those who are not used to doing these kinds of activities. With a duration of 6 or 7 minutes, the host seeks the comfort of the attendees, so that they can leave the studio relaxed, with the feeling of having succeeded in investing their time in visiting “Cosmic Ship”, a living and present space of creation.
