Kulturanova unofficially was founded in 1999. and officially was registered in 2001. It is located in Novi Sad, Serbia. It was conceived with the goal to unite all young people, who were tired of closed traditional institutions, and who did not have experience, space, financial and other resources to reach their creative potential in art. In the statutory meeting there were over 200 young people. With many of them organisation still cooperates.
The way Kulturanova was founded and the reason why it was founded, decided it`s future activities. Kulturanova initiates intercultural and intesector dialogue in society. Here you can participate in starting art education, production of art activities and improving public politics in field of culture among young people.
Novi Sad is open to create new culture. In Kulturnova new culture is a process for building new social relations, that will initiate dialogue, self criticism, and critical thinking. It’s mission is to develop contents of independent culture in order to encourage positive social change and improve the position of creative people in Novi Sad and the region. It promotes peaceful co-existance, minorities and human rights, including vulnerable groups in their projects and advocating that creativity is a tool for economic development and entrepreneurship.
Kulturanova works in four areas, through it’s four programs: Teatarnova – theater and performance, Muzikanova – support for young music creators, Medianova – audio-visual and media content, Futuranova – innovation in cultural and creative industries. If you are young artist and you want to broaden your horizons, to get educations, make new conecctions, kulturanova is a place where you can do all that.
