Did you know that Albert Einstein lived in Novi Sad for a period of time? The famous scientist shared the everyday life and joy of scientific discoveries with his first wife from Novi Sad – the talented Mileva Marić. In light of this, independently created tourist tours related to the Einsteins in Novi Sad, had different starting points, expectations and outcomes.
Ready for the Einstein tours? Come and check out the house in 20 Kisačka Street, built by Miloš Marić in 1907, the father of Mileva Marić Einstein. The first house in which Mileva and Albert stayed was probably Miloš Marić’s farm in Kać. There’s another thing connecting the Einstein family and Novi Sad. In September 1913, Mileva Marić Einstein stayed with her children Hans Albert and Eduart in her parents’ house. The Novi Sad chroniclers claim she baptized the children in the nearby Nikolajevska Church, according to the Orthodox rite, at the urging of her father.
